Hobart Brothers Recyclable ROBOPAK Reduces Disposal Costs

By: Hobart Brothers

TROY, Ohio. October 11, 2010-To help companies reduce their disposal costs, while also providing straight, tangle-free welding wire feeding, Hobart Brothers offers its recyclable ROBOPAK earth-friendly packaging systems. These 100 percent recyclable packaging systems are available in 300-, 600- or 950-lbs. and allow for fast and efficient discarding. The recyclable ROBOPAK packaging systems also assist in meeting ISO 14000 environmental conformance standards and work well for both robotic and automatic applications.

The recyclable ROBOPAK packaging systems have no staples or straps to remove, and there is no wooden pallet attached, allowing them to be recycled with all other cardboard products and reducing the labor and cost of breaking down or removing parts. The recyclable packaging systems also have no metal chime ring or payoff cone because the connectors and conduit used on traditional drums are attached directly to the lid. This simplified design helps provide tangle-free wire feeding and reduces parts’ cost by eliminating the need to purchase and inventory additional payoff cones.

Built-in forklift slots provide easy handling and efficient storage, and allow the recyclable ROBOPAK packaging systems to be located away from the weld station to reduce clutter. The compact dimensions of the packaging systems also reduce floor-space requirements-heights range from 35.5 inches for the 600- and 950-lb. recyclable ROBOPAKS to 21 inches for the 300-lb recyclable ROBOPAK.
