A fully alloyed core wire electrode featuring a rutile basic coating. It is excellent for welding Type 316 steel in applications requiring increased corrosion resistance of molybdenum-bearing steels. A carbon content of at least .04 provides increased high-temperature strength. It has a smooth running arc that results in a uniform weld bead that is flat to slightly convex.
