Hobart Brothers Now Offers Recyclable ROBOPAK in Three Sizes for Solid Wire Applications

TROY, Ohio. January 26, 2005 - To save time, money and increase your bottom line, Hobart Brothers introduces its new ROBOPAK 300-, 600- and 950-lb. earth-friendly packaging systems.  Designed to cut down on disposal costs, the recyclable ROBOPAK allows for fast and efficient discarding and assists in meeting ISO 14000 environmental conformance standards, while also providing a straight, flip-free, tangle wire for robotic and automatic applications.

Improved Performance and Lower Costs

With no staples or straps to remove, and no wooden pallet attached, the ROBOPAK saves on disposal costs (it can be recycled with all other cardboard products) and reduces the labor needed for breaking down or removing parts. The packaging system has no metal chime ring or payoff cone because the connectors and conduit used on traditional drums are attached directly to the lid. This simplified packaging also helps provide tangle-free wire feeding and reduces parts’ cost by eliminating the need to purchase and inventory additional payoff cones.

Versatility
To cater to a variety of welding industries and applications, the ROBOPAK comes in three sizes - 300-, 600- or 950-lbs.  The built in forklift slots provide easy handling and efficient storage, and the drum can be located away from the weld station for convenient changeover.  The compact dimensions of the drum allow for reduced floor-space requirements, as the heights range from 35.5 inches for the 600- and 950-lb. drums to 21 inches for the 300-lb drum.
