FabCO RXR Tubular Wire from Hobart Brothers Provides Deoxiders to Improve Weld Quality
TROY, Ohio. January 2, 2005 - For flat and horizontal lap, fillet and groove welding applications that require extra deoxidation, Hobart Brothers designed its Hobart® FabCO® RXR AWS E70T-1 tubular wire. Formulated with added deoxidizers that allow operators to weld through rust, mill scale and light oil without pre-cleaning, FabCO RXR is also excellent for welding clean plates and for general fabrication applications that require quality welds. The FabCO RXR gas shielded flux cored carbon steel wire is suited for welding applications on steel structures, storage vessels, earthmoving equipment and railcar manufacturing.
Improved Weld Quality
With its smooth, stable arc, FabCO RXR offers a spray-type transfer, high deposition rates and deep weld metal penetration. The wire produces a smooth weld deposit with easily removable slag. Additionally, FabCO RXR maintains high operator appeal throughout a wide range of power settings and is well suited for single- or mult-pass welding of mild steels and certain alloy steels. It is optimized for use in flat and horizontal welding positions using a DCEP (reverse polarity) welding current.
FabCO RXR operates with a shielding gas of 100 percent CO2 and is available in wire diameters ranging from .045-in to 1/8-in. With its ease of control, versatility and outstanding welding performance, FabCO RXR increases productivity by reducing the amount of rework on welds due to cold lap, cracking or poor penetration.
