Hobart Brothers and Hobart Food Equipment Group Donation Helps Achieve Record Fundraising for United Way
TROY, Ohio. January 5, 2007—Hobart Brothers and Hobart Food Equipment Group, both Illinois Tool Works, Inc. (ITW) companies, have completed their 2006 United Way collection campaign. As part of the companies’ charitable giving and community-focused initiatives, employees raised a combined $357,942, which helped the Troy United Way yield a record $770,408 in donations.
With the help of Hobart Brothers and Hobart Corporation’s employee donations, Troy United Way exceeded its fundraising goal of $627,400 by more than $140,000. “We are extremely proud that the generosity of the ITW businesses and employees could help the United Way exceed their fundraising goal,” says Sundaram Nagarjan, Hobart Brothers 2006 United Way Chairman. “Our employees feel a strong connection to Troy and are very excited about giving back to the community through the Troy United Way.”
